Challenge handmade tubulars enabled European champion Helen Wyman of Kona and Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies rider Jade Wilcoxson to rail through the course in the first day of Jingle Cross Rock.

Wyman was back on top Friday evening in Iowa City, Iowa, with Wilcoxson coming in third, 20 seconds down on the reigning British national champion.

Wyman put the hammer down from the word go and led through each lap in the evening at the Johnson County Fairgrounds to take the top honors.

“I love racing in the dark, even though there were a lot of corners! The light was really good, but there were one or two that you couldn't tell where the bounces are," Wyman told Cycling Dirt in a video before Saturday's race.
