It was a really hard Saturday for Equipe Bretagne Séché Environnement at the Prologue Time Trial opening the 2015 Tour de France!

9 riders finished in the second part of the arrival list, 5 of them with more than 2 minutes from the winner. It is difficult to accept even if time trialling is not Team BSE’s specialty. Polar computer data from LOOK pedal power meters will certainly be collected and studied to correct problems prior to the Stage 9 Team Time Trial.

13.8 kilometres finished and 3346 to go. For sure better moments and stages will follow in the next 22 days.

Extraordinary high temperature during all the day, one day after Holland experienced the hottest day ever in their history at 38.5 degrees, hit Team BSE harder than most when the team bus broke a drive belt that drove the air conditioning system. BSE riders were forced to find shade outside under black LOOK tents in 40 degree heat while their competition found refuge inside at 25 degrees.

Pierre Luc Périchon (in the picture) opened the stage for Team BSE.

Florian Vachon obtained the best result for the Team riding at 51 km/h.

2nd stage (Sunday, July 5th) is from Utrecht to Zélande: a flat 166 Km with the threat of wind and rain making things treacherous, especially on the last kilometres of the stage where numerous traffic circles await along the North Sea.
