Challenge Tires celebrates 10th anniversary with fresh look, great reception

The September shows left no doubt that Challenge is on a path that continues to excite and adapt to the changing needs of the public. After 10 years of reinvigorating the tubular market and pushing tread, material and production R&D, Challenge celebrated the anniversary with a makeover of graphics and marketing materials, along with a focus on sturdier products that maintain optimal performance. Visitors to show booths let us at Challenge know repeatedly that they are impressed with the speed at which the company adapts to the market and how dynamic it continues to be.

      Shows:

The trade shows reinforced the excitement surrounding the new cyclocross tread, Chicane, and the void in the market it will be filling. Guests recalled how Challenge lit up the gravel scene in the spring with new racing options and that Challenge supported elite road and triathlon racers around the world to win national championships and major stage races. The flow of people never slowed, and they were in agreement the company is moving in the right direction.

      Graphics:

You may have noticed cleaner logo, labels and packaging, and the official company name changed from “Challenge Handmade Tubulars” to “Challenge Handmade Tires.” While the typical handmade customer seeks tubulars, the performance gains to be had by switching from clinchers to Challenge Open Tubulars are huge, while maintaining the convenience of a clincher when it comes to mounting and changing flats, and the new name reflects that.

      Products:

Confident in the lineup of products with low rolling resistance and high performance, product development is now focusing on adding durability and choices. Our product line featuring PPS (Puncture Protection Strip) and PPS2 (Double Puncture Protection Strip) has greatly expanded without sacrificing performance riders expect from Challenge. Our triathlon line also now allows athletes to use the same tire in different widths front and rear.
