• 2013/03/02 Meredith Kessler takes top honors in Taupo
    • Four-time Ironman winner, Meredith Kessler powered to victory in Ironman New Zealand with a winning time of 9:17:10.

      Kessler came out of the water with a 4:07 lead over 11-time Ironman distance winner Gina Crawford, and maintained her lead when she posted the fastest women's bike at 5:04:44.

      She never dropped out of first place, although she lost ground to Crawford in the run, which prevented her from breaking the 7-time Taupo champion Joanna Lawn’s race record by 2:35.
